IMPACT - Colorectal Cancer Screening Early Detection

    Purpose:

The goal of the IMPACT study is to develop new colorectal cancer screening tests, and make continued improvements to their current screening portfolio, to detect advanced adenomas and colorectal cancer even in its most effectively treatable stages. The study is sponsored by Exact Sciences.

    Eligibility:

The study will enroll approximately 25,000 participants across the United States in three cohorts.

    • At least 40 years of age and due for a screening colonoscopy, or a follow-up colonoscopy.
    • At least 18 years old with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer (any stage).
    • At least 18 years old, with a family history of CRC; a personal history of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD); a personal history of colorectal lesions; or other related symptoms and due for a surveillance colonoscopy per your healthcare provider’s advice.

    Participation:

Participation is as simple as providing a self-collected stool sample as well as a standard blood draw, (we will arrange for this to be done by a phlebotomist in the convenience and privacy of your own home), shortly before or after your colonoscopy depending on your eligibility classification. Some participants may also be asked to complete a brief questionnaire about your experience with the blood and/or stool collections.

    Compensation:

Participants will receive up to $250 for their time after completing their participation in the study.
